And talk about bad timing, since I'm 23 the FAFSA considers me still a dependent of my parents, so it required me to fill out all of their tax information. This wouldn't be an issue, except for some reason my mothers job that she retired from last year wasn't taking taxes out of her paycheck so her earnings show she made way more, even when she had to pay a very large sum of money for taxes when she filed them this year. So the FAFSA thinks my parents are banking when they aren't. In fact my mother has to take on part time work here and there to subsidize her retirement!

I'm not expecting any free money from the government this year and I don't want to start pulling out loans this early in the game. So I will only take one class this fall instead of the 2 I was going to originally. Next semester I will be living in a smaller place and my financial situation will be much better. For now it's 40 hour work weeks and evening classes. Sigh :(

Big Week

So what a big week! I finally got the site launched, thanks to much assistance from my roommate..This html stuff is just a bit over my head. I got my first donation via Amazon yea!
Also, I know that a lot of people have mentioned financial aid for school. The reality is, it's not always a lot of money and I'm just now learning about it all. I have started the application process on fafsa.ed.gov. And I'm going to see what else there is so I can at least get something for the fall. I'm also going to register for classes for the fall semester next week. I still have a bunch of core classes to take so I have a lot to choose from. Decisions Decisions.... I can't wait till August!

My first Posts Just Testing

testing one two three
