What's the best way?
A note to everyone and anyone...
Leave in the comments on this entry, suggested books for researching tuition assistance and grants. Money saving tips, whatever you found helpful while going to school. My hopes are to leave this site here as an informational site for future students. I know there are government sites, but to be honest, they are severely lacking in explanations. Donations are still being accepted via Amazon.com's Honor System, but are no longer the main focus of this site.

Redesigning
I'm currently redesigning the site to include more information about what exactly I need as far as donations are concerned. And my hopes for the site when I am done with school. I'm expecting to have the site back up before I start school next week.
Also, I am now a member of my local library and plan to use my membership to research more college scholarships and grants that might be available to me. Crossing my fingers to find the right one to help pay for a full semester in the spring!!!

FAFSA
I filled out the very very long FAFSA online and I have to admit it was a lot of work with little reward. And talk about bad timing, since I'm 23 the FAFSA considers me still a dependent of my parents, so it required me to fill out all of their tax information. This wouldn't be an issue, except for some reason my mothers job that she retired from last year wasn't taking taxes out of her paycheck so her earnings show she made way more, even when she had to pay a very large sum of money for taxes when she filed them this year. So the FAFSA thinks my parents are banking when they aren't. In fact my mother has to take on part time work here and there to subsidize her retirement!
I'm not expecting any free money from the government this year and I don't want to start pulling out loans this early in the game. So I will only take one class this fall instead of the 2 I was going to originally. Next semester I will be living in a smaller place and my financial situation will be much better. For now it's 40 hour work weeks and evening classes. Sigh :(
